It has been a very long time since I last posted. I have been moving and schooling. We are so glad to have the move out of the way. Now we have to finish school work. My daughter has decided that she is going to do 11th grade this summer and start as a senior next year. She really wants to get on with her life.
Been busy taking her back and forth to practice. She was asked to play at a wedding accompanying a violinist. I am very proud of her.
This summer I plan on spending time doing things that I like. Swimming, hanging out with my friends and seeing my family in Ohio. I also am going to my high school reunion this summer. Not positive how i feel about being out of school now for 25 yrs. LOL
Check back in a few weeks to see how my trip went.

1 Car 3 Drivers
Well we have had another busy week so far. Hubby was in an accident on Saturday and his car was totaled. The teenager that hit him did not have insurance and our car only had liability on it and does not cover the replacement of our car under our uninsured motorists section. So we are out a vehicle. The family says they will pay us about $1,000 for our car. I will believe it when I see it.
So we had to do some minor repairs on my car to have it ready for all the interstate driving it is going to be doing in the next few days. DS 19 is getting his car fixed this weekend so we will have 2 cars again soon. DS19 is driving his dad to work at 2am every day now because DS needs to go to work also. I would take DS in my car when I needed it but other times I would just let him take it. Now he is having to take his dad everyday this week. He is not happy about this.
DD and I are hopefully going to go shopping this afternoon for some things if we can find the time before we have to pick up hubby from work. If not we will be going tomorrow. I hope the car stuff works out soon!!

Slow Down Life!
Busy life lately. Between school work and extra classes not much time for anything else. We are doing a new class on financial peace for some of our teens. It is really opening my eyes. Our computer web design class is going well. The kids are learning how to add pages to there home page. Really cool!
Yesterday hubby was in a car wreck and his little '99 Hyundai Accent was totaled. He was guilt ed into going to the hospital by our DD. Thank goodness for daughters and the tears. He is a very hard headed man so I am glad DD was able to guilt him into it. He is sore and bruised but nothing else wrong as of now. But now the car.....this makes us again a 1 car family with 3 drivers. DS21 is going to hopefully put a motor in DS19 car today so we can have another car to use. We will have to wait on the insurance company. We will have to speak to them on Monday. The really bad thing is the teenager that hit my husband didn't have insurance on the vehicle he was driving. He not only hit my husband but he also hit another friend of ours too. His truck was also totaled.
Like I said life is busy busy busy.

LIFE!
Wow has life been busy! Christmas came and went. My dd and I spent the holiday with my mom and sister. Loved every minute of it!! Didn't want to come home. Got way too much stuff! Gotta love mom!!!
We have started back on our schooling and we have started the Dave Ramsey course. We are still being considered for a church not far from hear. I am praying this is what God wants for us! If so then we will be moving closer to school and town. YEAH!!! Not sure how dd's guy friends are going to take this but for both of them it is closer even though they live in opposite directions. I realized how much money we could save just in gas. DD and I could walk to school when it is warm and not raining. The stores would be only 3 min not 17 min from the house. That would be a huge savings there!!!
Things are just moving along at a steady pace. I rather like it that way. Not too many bumps to throw u off course. I am just going to keep plugging along and see what God has in store!!
I also found this great blog about saving money! Have already gotten so many things for free. I am always liking the free stuff. This was I can try out a product to see if it is better before having to buy it. I really hate wasting money on products that don't really do what they say or don't live up to expectations. Free samples are the way to find that out without losing the $$$. Oh and my family thinks I am strange for getting all these free samples too. They will live!!!

Pre Christmas Busies
We have been so busy with getting school out of the way to enjoy Christmas this year. Since my daughter and I are traveling to Ohio this year I wanted to have all her work done for the year the week before Christmas. I think we have 1 section in math to do and the test and we will be done!
We will be enjoying The Nutcracker ballet tomorrow. We enjoy doing this every year. We first started going when she was in 2nd grade. She had won tickets to the Birmingham Ballet's performance from a coloring contest. The next year we were able to see the Alabama Ballet's performance of it and really enjoyed it better. So since then we have made it a tradition to go see the Alabama Ballet's performance. It is 1 of 6 ballet companies in the world that perform George Balenshen's version (sp) This is awesome to have it here in our backyard!
We will also be having dinner with some friends of ours at Red Robin on Friday night. My daughter is so excited about this. Her "best friend" is going. We also have a funeral to attend this week. My daughters friend lost his grandmother this past weekend. It is so hard here at Christmas to lose a loved one. On Saturday I get my grandson. He is spending the night with us and going to church with us on Sunday and then to my husbands family Christmas party with us. Most of them don't even know that we have a grandson. It will be very interesting since he is 15 months old.
Well Merry Christmas everyone if I dont get back on here before then. And no I do not say Happy Holidays. Christ is the center of the season and it always will be in my heart.

Craving Knowledge
It is December already! Boy the older I get the faster time flies. This time of year is always very busy around here with school activities and such. This year my daughter and I are driving home to Ohio for Christmas with my mom and sister. I can not wait. I have not seen them in about 3 yrs. I know that is a long time but don't get me started on that whole story.
The other day I was talking with an old friend of my daughters and he was telling me how boring school was. He said it is the same thing over and over. Its do this, do that, you can't do that, you must do that. He said if school was just a little bit interesting more kids might want to come to school. Now this young man is not a slacker. He goes to school everyday and participates in after school activities and gets good grades. He just doesn't see the meaning to all of it. I think I have ruined him. He asks all the time what we are doing. I tell him this or that. I tell him we got to the library a lot for research for a subject my daughter is learning. I remember one time he wanted to read the paper my daughter wrote about some historical battle. She had spent several days at the library researching. He told me that he had never known half of what was in her paper. He is a year older than her. So know when we are done with a workbook he borrows it to get the information that his PS is not giving.
I think for Christmas I might get him some books that have been very helpful to us over the yrs. I think he might like the chance to get more out of his learning than what he is spoon fed. I sure am glad I have the God given ability and God's blessing to home school!!!

Trouble in "Paradise"
All my life I have been kind of a loner. When I was a teenager all my friends were older than me. They drove and did things a whole year before I did. So I did a lot of things on my own. Things like: shopping, movies, afternoons out. Well I realized today that I am none the wiser when it comes to picking friends. Only now I just dont have me to think about, I have my daughter. Either I feel I am not smart enough or not sophisticated enough. At least that is what it seems to me. (What some of these people dont understand is that sophistication has nothing to do with it. This girl went to the country club when she was younger.) I thought I was alone in this thinking until my wonderful daughter asked me if I felt like a 5th wheel, because she certainly did. Hmmmm. What can I do to change my situation? It is not them, it is me. I need to look at my choices and see where I am going wrong. Prayer, lots of prayer. That will be my answer. In the mean time while I am seeking God's answer on this one, I will spend my time with my beautiful daughter and laugh!!!
